When Jesus was still a baby, Simeon told Mary "a sword will pierce your own soul". This word of prophesy was certainly fulfilled at the cross.

Today. Not tomorrow. Not sometime next week. Not someday. Today is the day to look into the face of grace on the cross.

Please join us March 22 & 23 for The Women's Spring Retreat. It will be held at Buckhorn (E9945 Trophy Trail in Reedsburg). Friday 6-9pm we will start at 6 pm with Gem City Pizza. Please bring a dish to pass. We will be watching video segments from the 2019 IF Gathering that took place in Dallas, Texas. Saturday we will start at 8:30 am with coffee and donuts. The session will run 9-11:30 am and we will wrap up with lunch. We would love to have an afternoon session if we have enough interest from 1-3 pm. We are drawing near to the cross this Lenten season, to hear the words our Savior spoke as gave His life for ours.

Lent Soup Suppers start on Wednesday! Soup will be served from 5:15-5:50 p.m. Worship will follow from 6:00-6:40 p.m. Be sure to pick up the free Lenten devotional at church!

Every encounter, even with those people who are difficult, is an opportunity to either draw people to the gospel or push them away from the message of new life. People are watching to see if our faith crosses over into our daily lives and if our walk matches our talk. We spend a lot of time thinking about making healthy food choices and getting enough exercise. This week we're talking about contributing to the health of Christ's body, the church.

All Bible studies and Youth groups WILL meet today (Feb. 13).

Are you living in harmony (pleasing and agreeable) with those around you? Or are you creating dissonance (harsh and disagreeable)? Let's harmonize!

What does it mean to be devoted to one another? It means to stick with each other through thick and thin. It means knowing we can count on each other no matter what. We're talking about it this coming Sunday!

Men of Emanuel United will host a FISH FRY Friday, January 18, 2019 from 5:00-7:00 PM at Emanuel Church. Baked & Fried Cod, Side salads, Cole Slaw, Beans, Potato Salad, with beverage & dessert for $10.00. Children ages 3 & under: Free Children ages 4 & up: $1.00 per year up to $10.00 max. Food prepared & provided by Elite Catering of Baraboo. A portion of the proceeds will go to Kid’s Ranch, Rock Springs, WI that suffered damage to their facilities during the 2018 flooding.

The master, Mike from Elite Catering in Baraboo, serving up his world famous omelets to the crowds at the Badger Steam and Gas Swap Fest this morning. Mike is an example of how to use your talents to serve the Lord! This isn't an ad, but I thought this guy deserved a shout out.
